Best AI settings for each character in MK11 (2023)

One of the best aspects of the game is the ability to program your character to fight for you through AI combat. It's a super easy way to earn rewards, coins, hearts, and souls without going through the ordeal yourself (Need some new skins or gear to freshen up your party? AI battles!). If you really want to get the most out of it, you'll want to tweak each character's AI settings to best reflect that character's strengths.

How do I use the new AI?

Each fighter has 6 adjustable AI settings: Grapple, Sprint, Combo, Reverse, Partition and Escape. They also have 4 presets to get you started, Maniac, Strategic, Hard Zoner, and Well-Rounded (all character AI defaults to Well-Rounded). Here's a list of settings for each combatant that maximize their potential and make those who oppose them fearful (if the AI ​​knows what fear is):

#1: Shang Tsung

• Slightly increased reversal and reduced impact allows him to go head-to-head while protecting himself
• The equal ratio of punching and grappling allows him to divide his attack strategy into brutal punches and dazzling throws

• He needs to focus more on reversals rather than tackles or sprints to allow for his bone-crushing counters

• The second-best division player on the list with a rifle and a snake slide, a third and almost half of his focus is on the division
• Ellen has some pretty strong combos, so the rest of his attention has to be on combos

• D'Vorah is a straight-up fighter no matter the distance, so half her focus is on the combo
• Since she's not really a zone shooter and doesn't throw a ton of really effective throws, the other half of the focus is comebacks
• This distribution allows her to stay relatively in place and let out a good cry when approached

• He has good options for projectiles and ranged attacks, so a fair amount of emphasis is on zoning
• Although his combos are limited, his attacks are strong and destructive (especially with his glaive), so sprinting is something to watch out for here
